The Foundation regrets that the amount  of funds available for awards is reduced due to a decrease in funding from the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care and reduced return on the Foundation’s investments. Faced with a difficult choice, the Foundation has decided to focus its support on trainees and new investigators, to ensure the continued development of excellent mental health research in the province.  This unfortunately means that the Board of the Foundation has to temporarily suspend the competition for Senior Research and Intermediate Research Fellowships. In addition, the Board anticipates that the Research Training Fellowship competition will be temporarily suspended beginning in 2013. It is the Board’s intention to resume these programs as soon as funding permits.

2012-2013 New Awards 

The Foundation approved 10 new Research Grants, 2 Type B Continuation Grants, 4 new Fellowships and 8 new Studentship awards for 2012-2013.
